Web-Loading
The MYRIAD SmartPay Web-Loading solution provides a convenient and secure method
for cardholders to add value to their smartcard from any PC connected to the internet.
The benefits of web-loading are not only available to cardholders, as those involved
in administering the MYRIAD system also have the benefits of using innovative on
line reporting tools, a low maintenance site registration process and simple configuration
and installation.
The MYRIAD web-loading system offers cardholders the ability to “top-up” the value
from any device, whether it is a vending machine, point of sale terminal or loading
device as long as it is connected to the network. Customers don’t have go to a dedicated
or prescribed machine to use, which gives organisations more flexibility and more
scalability as well as lower capital investment.
MYRIAD uses firewall friendly internet technologies that save time and set up effort
for the IT department. The value delivery mechanisms are flexible and can use either
the internet, an extranet or an organisation’s Virtual Private Network (VPN).
As GiroVend do not use a third party for the transaction processing elements of the
solution, the close working relationship developed with PayChannel (part of G4Tec)
has given GiroVend a strong and reliable heritage in managing the value
transfer process, network interfacing and ongoing support.
The MYRIAD Card Management software can be set to automatically create an account
with “SmartPay” and to trigger an email to the cardholder to prompt them to set
up the value transfer account, all during the initial system setup.
