Subsea 7 explore the benefits of cashless payments with GiroVend

Subsea 7, one of the world's leading engineering and construction companies has selected GiroVend to install a comprehensive cashless payment solution at their offices in Aberdeen. The 1000 staff, together with Compass, their catering contractor, welcome the introduction of the GiroVend solution in their new restaurant facility at their Arnhall Campus.

GiroVend will be installing their market leading MYRIAD cashless payment solution, fully integrating with the existing on-site security card system and providing Subsea 7 with a truly single card solution.

The GiroVend solution will be providing a web-loading capability, using SmartPay, which provides a convenient and secure method for cardholders to add value to their smartcard from any PC connected to the internet. The site will not be completely cashless as on-site cash loaders offer increased loading options and greater staff flexibility.

The main driver for Subsea 7 when introducing cashless was the increased speed of transactions, optimising throughput during busy times within the restaurant. With 1000 staff on-site, Subsea 7 see cashless as a way to reduce waiting times and increase transaction efficiencies.

While the front of house systems offer a clear staff benefit, the back office management system provides a comprehensive range of simple reports. Compass catering staff and Subsea 7 are able to track purchasing patterns, busy transaction times and favoured menu options providing cost savings across the catering operation.
